TECHNICAL INTRODUCTION

The Hexaworx rapid building system utilizes a fully modular approach to its construction. Each dome unit is comprised of repeating roof, wall and floor elements. The dome units in turn can be combined together to form larger modular designs.

This modular approach allows for low production cost high accuracy and quality. It also provides an inherently flexible construction solution.

DESIGN ELEMENTS

The units are fully self contained and include the full roof, walling and floor system.

The roof is comprised of a series of interconnected Fiberglass panels with a Polyurethane fill which provides excellent thermal installation. The wall system comprises a series on interchangeable steel powder coated PU panels which support a wide range of doors and windows. The flooring system is fully integrated into the structure and is raised above ground level to avoid any risk of flooding. The floor system comprises a steel lattice with cement board covering providing a heavy duty high load solution.

INSTALLATION

The Hexaworx Building System supports a number of installation methods. For long-term permanent deployment the units can be supported on concrete pads or raft foundations. For rapid deployment where speed of installation is of primary concern a full self contain screw pile foundation system is supplied.

Under normal installation conditions utilizing the screw pile system a single dome can be installed with minimal training is an little as 20 hours construction time and can be made water tight in as little as 12 hours.

The Hexaworx Building System offers some key advantages over traditional construction techniques with regard to safety. The inherent strength of the dome design provides superb resistant to high wind loads. The independent foundation connections also provide great resistance to earth quakes. All materials used in construction are fire treated offering high levels of fire proofing. The raised floor design offers protection for local flooding. The high levels of insulation provide protection for both heat and cold conditions.
